Black Pants is one of the three artworks part of a series of commissioned work for the British Fashion Council in 2018. The artist Amelie Hegardt was asked to interpret the SS18 collections of the three British designers: Georgia Hardinge, Katherine Hamnett and Mother of Pearl. The originals are exhibited in Museo ABC, Madrid, Spain January 2019.
Amelie Hegardt’s artistic and commercial work is a balance between explicit emotion and style. Her contextual interest are focused on the ideas and ideal around the subject of power and seduction. On how we use beauty, where we find it and what we sacrifice in the process for getting it.
